I was just wondering how the ride qualty of the 2005 compares to the previous mustangs, prefferably the V6 but any input helps.
Thanks in advance,

I'm not an expert in suspension by any means so take this for what it's worth ..... My 2005 GT Conv rides much better than the '85 GT Coupe I used to have. The 05 GT Conv holds the road well and absorbs bumps well. Not exactly Cadillac status of course but not bad by any means.

I cant really comment on the older Mustangs (as this is my first and i've only rode in friends) but I had a SVT focus before this and the ride quality is way better in the '05 v6. I also have gotten compliments about how nice it rides from friends.

Ok....

I have had, (in order) an 89 Escort, a 96 GT Coupe, a 99 Cobra Coupe, a 02 Subaru WRX Sedan, (still have it) and the current 05 GT Vert.

Comfort:
The 96 GT was best... followed by the 05 GT and than the Cobra... but thats no surprise, (the stock 99 Cobra seats SUCK).

Handling:
The 05 GT Vert is great... the Cobra was pretty damned good too.. the 96 GT was... meh...

Overall:
The 05 Vert was best, followed by the WRX. Sorry
