Default 315s not wide enough for the rear

currently running 315/35/20 and im pretty sure thats the widest i can go without modifications. Im not happy with the 315s; i still feel they are too narrow for my taste. What would it take to fit 335/30/20s? I think this is the size to get me wood everytime i see my car from behind.

Lets hear your input!

Put the bad boys on and have a reputable wheel shop machine 3mm off the rear rim.

quick question, how wide is your rear rim? If it's 10" wide, would you be so kind as to post up a picture of how it looks? I have a 295/35/20 now and was wondering if a 315/35/20 or similar would fit on mine (I have a 10" wide rear rim)... thanks!

When you say that, you mean take 3mm off from the 50mm offset? Is that really all it will take to fit them? I need to be sure because these tires cost a ton so i dont want to waste money and have them fail

335's will look ridiculous in my opinion. Borderline rice.

I dont think 335's will fit on 10 inch wide rim without bulging over the sides of the rim? I think you need a 10.5+ inch wide rim and a 11 inch one would be better IMO....

I agree, the 335 might seat the rim, but it would definitely bulge over the sides. Given the current stance of the car and offset of the rims you are currently running, you might have a problem with 335 rear tires hitting the fenders. Just look on both sides of your current rim/tire set-up and see if there is room for the additional 20mm (.78") that will be added to the overall width (10mm (.39") on either side)...but also take into account the height gain that will also be added since the tires are going to bulge on those rims.

83gtragtop, I dont understand your reasoning behind calling it rice. Do explain.

mygt500, I planned on having the wheel extended to either a 10.5 or 11, i still want it to bulge a little over the wheel to protect them from curbs. Obviously i want them to fit within the fenders if not right at them, so is this possible to achieve without ripping the car up?
