well guys the car came with the shaker 1000, i love the fact it has the changer and plays mp3s but i have a clarion double din dvd sitting here along with my kicker comp vr 10s and 500.2 kicker amp, will the sound quality change if i swap headunits? i called a local audio store for install kit and harness, he said he would install the radio with all supplies for 98 bucks but he would sell me the harness and kit for like 28 bucks.


if i swap out the units and pull the factory subs out, if i sell them, along with the headunit, what would be a good asking price? id prob put them on here and on my local CL

i suppose it mainly depends on which clarion headunit it is, but i'd say it would be safe to assume it would sound much better since you should have more 'control'. the shaker 1000 headunit could probably go for a few hundred dollars, but i'm not sure about the subs. i'm not 100% sure but i've heard you can replace the ones in the oem box; you'd have to pull the entire thing out and replace it (don't quote me on that though )

i was wondering about putting my 10's in that box. i bet that would be pretty cool and give it a stock look

well guys i am going to do the swap, this weekend maybe. what im wondering is, the harness i need is the 1 with the big plug and the small plug with the rca's right? but with this harness, will the factory amps still work?
