Anything over 100 has lead in it and lead will DESTROY O2 sensors so while it may not hurt the engine directly, indirectly it fry's the O2 sensors and cats which will IN TURN fry your motor.

MS109 has an octane rating of 105 and is unleaded. Sunoco offers a 104 octane unleaded fuel. You won't get these from any pumps at a gas station though.
Sunoco makes it. Lead is just an additive used to lubricate the valve guides in racing applications. Most forms of racing now require the use of unleaded fuel.

The big thing with the lead in new motors isnt so much "frying"the O2 sensors as it is gumming up the fuel injectors. Thats why you cant use it in anything fuel injected even if you remove your cats and sensors.

I was surprised when I stopped at the Sunoco near my office. They had 104 octane on the pump.
um, yes it will. In my v6 I ran a full tank of 87 octane at constant speed on the interstate with no jack rabbit starts and only went 290 miles. I then filled up with 89 octane the next week and did the same route at the same speed with the same starts and went 325 miles using the same amount of fuel. then I tried the 93 and went 330 miles on the tank. This was all without a tune. Right now I run 89 in the GT, which is stock, and I am avg 370 miles per tank, or 24.3 mpg(per the msg center). Im yet to run a tank of 87 through the GT though.

That's not a scientific test at all. Your results would not be replicated under controlled conditions. I could explain to you why 89 octane will not give you any better mileage than 87, but it's easier to recommend that you buy a book on combustion physics. You got lucky on a couple tanks of gas, but continue spending the extra money if it makes you happy.
