110 octane?
So I was at my buddies house that is about 25-30 miles from where i live and we stopped at some random *** gas station to buy beer when I saw they had a pump that you could get 110 octane race fuel for six dollars a gallon from. Does this sound legit from a random gas station because I usually see people run like 100 octane at the track i've never seen 110 before.

Yes they do make a 110 octane but unless you have the compression and the tune to use it, its actually doing more harm than good. I always love the kids coming out of AutoZone pouring in their NOS Octane boost. "Your car is gonna be soooo fast man!!" lol. A lot of hype around e85 conversions is its 105 rating. 100% Ethanol alone has an octane rating of 115.

E85 isnt too bad you just have to dump fuel into your engine with it so your MPG goes way down.
If you got a race tune from a tuner that would help you or dyno tune for that fuel. This is just like the guys putting 91 octane into a stock mustang because they think its better for the engine.

110 Fuel
I’ve never put it in a daily driver. The thing with 110 fuel is that it’s leaded and it can poison your cats and O2 sensors. So to answer your question there is nothing wrong with this fuel, the applications for this fuel are endless; it may not be the right fuel for your application

It does no harm to your motor, The higher octane level allows the fuel to be compressed more before combusting on its own due to pressure. It will give you a better fuel economy over 87 octane, but you see the same gain running 89 octane on a stock engine or with bolt ons.
Not always, most of the time it is, but I have seen it unleaded also.
