Installing hood scoop stickers - Help
I just installed a Roush hood scoop on my '06 GT. I have a pair of stickers (4.6L V8) I got from American Muscle. The stickers have NO instructions.
I put some similar stickers on a 2000 Mustang years ago and they (another company) told me to spray some water with a drop of dish soap which allowed me to move the sticker around until I got it just right and then just let it dry. AM told me to just peel the back off and stick it on dry. Sounds like you get 1 chance. Anybody else put these things on? How did you do it. I just don't want to muck it up. Thanks in advance. By the way, the scoop looks super!

Use some masking tape and tape it in place on 5 or six spots with the backing still on. Then pull the masking tape and backing off half of it and carefully smooth it on, then do the same for the remaining side.
Same procedure for laying vinyl stripes on dry.(just on a tiny scale) This allows the taped on side to hold it straight while you stick the other side. Hold it lightly and just let it lay right on. then some pressure to set it it place.
Hope this helps, Vince.

I spray windex on the area that the sticker goes, peel off the backing, and center the sticker.( you will be able to move it about) Dab the outside dry, then take something to squeegie it with, like a credit card or some sort of stiff, flexable plastic. Push out all the water, and any air bubbles going from the center and work outwards. Then slowly peel off the front paper making sure that you angle it sharply back (not straight outward)
