Default Dealer Updates and TSBs / Recalls?? Help!

Okay, so a bit of background, I am originally from the United Kingdom and imported my car over there in 2007 as a brand new GT. However, I ended up moving to the USA permanently back in May 2008 and the car went into storage.

The car is now on USA soil but has never been back to a FORD dealership to any services, checks or call backs etc. The car has been maintained by a specialist in the UK, but only for general upkeep etc (oil changes, filters and the like)

Have there been any major recalls or TSBs (I think that is what they are called)? Would the dealership see that the car has never had any flash updates and do this for me? If the car was bought in Sept 2007, would I have the warranty until Sept 2010? I believe that even though the car has been in the UK, that the warranty was covered worldwide.

Any help would be appreciated.... and is it worth me taking it in for these updates? Or am I lucky that I haven't!

Thanks

ELMO

I don't know if there is a different warranty for cars sold overseas. My USA Warranty Guide says, except for purchases through the Ford Worldwide Direct Marketing Operations Military Sales Program, the car must be originally registered/licensed and operated in the United States, U.S. Federalized Territories, or Canada for the warranty to apply.

On my '07, the only recall was to reprogram the front passenger air bag deployment.

TSBs only apply if you have the problem described in the TSB. There is a charge to perform the TSB if you are not within the warranty period.

Review the TSB's in the forum stickies. There are quite a few but the issues are hit and miss on a car-by-car basis. Some dealerships will work with you on out-of-warranty TSB work; most may not. There has been 1 recall that I can think of and that's the previously mentioned RCM (Restraint Control Module) reflash and I've been aware of it for over 1 year and haven't had it done yet. As far as PCM "updates", I'd kill the sumbitch that reflashes my PCM.

LOL... okay.... thanks everyone. The car was original bought and registered in Florida. So I should think that would be fine.
