That's it. Period. If the dealer asks the relationship to that person, you say "A friend of the family" nothing more. I got my x-plan pin from a random dude on the internet, from the blue oval forums. Rock on.

Has anyone tried to negotiate without saying they have the x-plan? Like to see how much more your saving.

You'll **** off the dealer. I did this on accident, they still gave it to me, but X-plan participation is entirely voluntary by each dealer. I got the X-Plan pin after I had already placed my order.

There are two buttons that say "new thread" in each section where the thread titles are.

I get my PIN's through being a member of Disabled American Veterans. I used to work at Home Depot, & their employees are also eligible. But if the dealership wants to sell you the car bad enough they can get you a PIN. They have ways. My experience with X-Plan is that it's usually slightly below invoice, like a couple hundred dollars below. But you lose other promotions that are offered at certain times, like the $500 college student discount. When I bought my wife's Expedition we bought it at invoice, which was $200 over X-Plan, but we got the $500 college student discount. So we came out $300 better than X-Plan.
