Default Paintless dent repair or repaint?

I was wiping down my car today and noticed a small 1/4" diameter dimple on the rear passenger side fender. Not sure when it happened or how. I hate surprises like this!!! I never park in tight spaces so I have no clue what caused it.

I've put a red dot in this old pic of the general spot where the dimple is located.

Can something like this be repaired via PDR method or would the dimple need to be filled in and the entire fender repainted? I have a feeling it might be the latter since it doesn't look like the back of the fender can be accessed. I could be wrong. I hope Pascal can chime in.

Paintless dent repair is the ticket. I've used that before, and it was perfect for the small dent I had.

I've used PDR before on a door ding I had and hope I can do the same for the fender. It doesn't look like it though. I just took a look behind and under the fender and it looks like the area is enclosed with no easy access. Looks like it might be a fill and repaint for me.

When I bought my car that whole part above the wheel well had a crease in it. They fixed it somehow... but they might have just got a replacement part.

The whole car had hail damage too, and they did PDR on pretty much the whole car.

OP, the problem with a ding in that area is that there is a double steel wall which will make it almost impossible for the PDR guys to get to it. "But" they may be able to "if" they drill a whole in the inner wall to get to the outer wall.

That's what I thought. It seems like the fender is a "box". You need to get through one wall to access the other. I don't mind if they have to drill the inner wall to gain access. I can always fill in the inner wall later.

They will drill the inner wall, then after the repair they will treat the metal, and fill it with a rubber plug. That is how they did mine.

Ok, cool! I didn't know you had a fender ding since you didn't specify in your previous post. It's good to know they can at least get to it by drilling. How much did it cost you? I've emailed four places to get a quote and waiting for their replies.

Guys, it's in the trunk area or close enough...
No double wall there, just get the flimsy liner out of the way and let the man work his long rod there.
Oh no, did I say that!?!?

Here's an actual shot of the ding. It was tough getting a good pic.
