Default LED map lights...Don't work right, I'm laughing

So I installed a Homelink transmitter in my map console and it all works great.
I also bought some blue LEDs to throw in for some cool ambient lighting.

When both bulbs are in they still glow slightly even when turned off. I know that this is something that happens and I wasn't worried about it.

Here's the problem.

With both LED's installed, my homelink doesn't work, which I sorta suspected could happen if both bulbs are drawing power....

but the funny thing is, when I push the button on the homelink transmitter, the both lights go on. The button turns the LEDS on but won't trigger the garage. It made me laugh when it happened. So I took one LED out and replaced it with the stock bulb, so I have one blue and one regular. It all works just fine that way, and the single LED doesn't glow slightly when off. I'd really like both lights blue, and to be able to use my homelink.

So is there any way to fix this so I can use my homelink and have both LED's installed?

I've had problems with all the LEDs I've put in. Map lights burn out and flicker quickly, rear sides not working, plate light working, take it out to get let my brother see it and then it never worked again. My stang hates LEDs. Went back to stockers.

I tapped the only hot and ground I could see in the console. It's funny to me that when I press the homelink button all the lights go on. Haven't a clue why, it seems counter-intuitive.

Might need to run another wire up your pillar and under your headliner to power then both. I would try adding power to them with some loose wires before going through that trouble though
