Default triple 12v dc plug

I want to mount one of those things that have the 3 cigerette plugs cause in the center console only has that one plugin, My question is if you leave it plugged in where you see the red lights indicating has power coming to it but have no devices in the slots, will it drain your battery just cuz indicating power to it.

No. The pilot lights indicate that voltage is available only and do not impose any load to be concerned about (probably in the microamp range). The pilot lights are such an insignificant load I wouldn't worry about them but since you wouldn't see them in the console anyway you could always disconnect them.

thanks nuke, I'm just wanting to set the gps in its holder with power already hooked up so i don't have to keep opening the console, plugging in the plug then get to work, unplug, so when i undock gps basically you are saying the power drain is gone then?

Correct. It's no different than an outlet in the house with nothing plugged into it with the exception of the pilot light (if your triple 12 volt outlet has them). With nothing plugged in to it, there's no current flow. If the pilot lights bother you, dismantle the outlet and disconnect the lights.

It's like a blinking alarm LED. Draws very little power.

In any other vehicle, that would be simple. But the power outlets are powered from the Bussed Eletrical Center (BEC) which beats the heck out of me since I've never even put my eyeballs on it physically.

157db is the guy you want to ask.
