triple 12v dc plug

On most Japanese cars the lighter sockets are always switched with the key. Unfortunately the American cars still follow the old, "always live" method. BTW you can get those splitters with no lights on them. I have a pair I bought many years ago at Radio Shack and they have no lights. That was when cars use to have only one plug in socket. Now they have so many I don't even need it any more.

When the last hurricane came through here and took out power, I was able to charge my cell phone from the cigarette lighter in my 65 Galaxie in the garage without running the engine, but not in my 03 Lightning. That's what I like about old Fords or one of the things anyway!
