2010 Nav System
#12
ok so found it, not a timing but speed issue with nav system, here is how you set, delay off is default
Image delay if displayed through the rearview mirror:
When shifting out of R (Reverse) and into any other gear, the image in
the rearview mirror will remain on for a few seconds before it shuts off
to assist in parking or trailer hookup.
Image delay if displayed through the navigation screen:
After shifting out of R (Reverse) and into any gear other than P (Park),
the image in the navigation screen will remain until the vehicle speed
reaches 5 mph (8 km/h), only if the rear camera delay feature is on, or
until any navigation radio button is pressed.
Note: The default setting for the rear camera delay is off. Press the
“Settings” button found on the navigation screen to set the rear camera
delay feature to on or off. Refer to the Navigation System supplement
for more information.

I think your dealer may have led you down the wrong path. Have you seen the differences between the nav/non-nav models? The entire center stack is different, you'd have to replace all of the hvac controls as well to install the factory nav.
I fear that your dealer is gonna stick it to ya by playing dumb and offer to install some crappy Tom-Tom type device in your stang. They are not equals at all, dont accept any aftermarket device if you were told you'd get a OEM nav system.

I have the NAV system as well. It is adjustable. When you put into reverse and the camera comes up, there will be a settings button that will also show up on the lower left part of the screen.

Your dealer hosed you. You should have seen this coming from day 1. Good luck, but I think you are gonna be driving around with a TomTom on the window..........
