I'd be curious, too, on how plausible this is and how much it costs.

So far, I have seen only one trim kit that will allow the 2010 controls for an aftermarket radio. So, getting the factory nav would be great.

I was told by two different dealers that you CAN'T add factory Nav after the fact. They said that your car HAS to come from the factory with the Nav or it's a no-go. Doesn't make sense to me at all. ANYTHING can be modified, especially wiring for aftermarket stereos. I don't see why this is such an issue. I'd gladly spend 2500 bucks on the Nav. If anyone out there has done this I'd love to know details.

I was also told by KC over on the other Forum who is the OEM parts swap Guru that it cannot be done either. Not only Wiring issues but programming issues as well.

There is a complete setup on eBay right now for $2K BIN ..... including the rear camera. If I knew for sure it was PLUG and PLAY I would buy it ....

OK ... Talked to United Radio who I was referred to about the swap. It cannot be done. Totally Different wiring. Missing several components that would be required in addition to all the radio parts. The heating and cooling duct work is completely different. There would be no way to make the heated seats or dual zone heating work. They tried but it became way too involved to do it ...

HOWEVER ... they will soon be releasing a kit that will add a 2010 F250 Nav Unit to your 2010 Mustang and it will be fully Operational. You will need the METRA faceplate which has an MSRP $250. THey plan on reprogramming the F250 Nav to be 100% functional in the Mustang.

I asked them about the SYnc Info and messages and they said all the info should come up on the Nav Screen. I explained to them the Metra Face Plate has a Sync LCD as well. They said until they have all the parts in their hands and have it installed and programmed they can't really answer all the questions yet.

Not a fan of the Metra though . . . at least what I see in the pictures. It looks like they painted the trim charcoal, and how will that look in real life? Also, it will not match the trim that runs down beside the shifter.

Bottom line, I would be concerned it just wouldn't look "clean."

My guy said he called them last week and they said they can do it but you need to replace the Heating controls with the Factory controls of one with it in

You can get dash styling kit pretty cheap and make it look however you want, including the console. Woodgrain/Chrome/Carbon/whatever you want.

So that shouldn't be a big issue. The bottom line is Metra is the only kit avail "right now" so unless you want to wait even longer for some other kits, there isn't much choice. I'm looking forward to getting rid of the ac/heat controls way down on the bottom like they are personally.

I'll toss a thread in the audio section with pics after mine is installed next week I'm just hoping its a good, clean "fitment"... I'll worry about color later.
