Default '11 Pricing

So now that we've got this fandangally sweet 5.0 for the GT, just how much is this gonna cost? Granted, its got over 400hp, but I don't see myself wanting to spring for an '11 if the price tag jumps 3-5k over the '10. I could just grab a spankin new '10 and throw on an blower and have 100hp MORE for around the same $$ as the '11. But, if its gonna stay on par with the '10, I'm all in!! What are your thoughts?

I think the price tag for the 2011 5.0 is gonna be around the $35K mark. Why? Look what Shelbys are going for, I would say a little under that. I think the new 2011 V6 with more hp is going to cost more too. Probably starting at $25K for a base model.

Pure speculation on my part but I configed a basic 2010 GT with a stick and no other options and it came to 28,880. I believe that a base GT will sticker right at 30k. 1200 dollar increase is justified for the new engine. 2010 V6 21,800 so i could see a starting base price at or below 23k

lol I just did the same thing! Great minds think alike! I bet Ford keeps a base GT under $30k.

Strong chance of dealer markup the first year on these.

I ended up getting my 2010 base Gt for a little over $26K. So I could see a base 2011 GT going for under $30K

yep, I agree that the dealers will take this opportunity to put some "market adjustments" on the cars...

Yeah, I payed a little under 26 for my base 10 gt, with 3.73 and security package (not counting incentives) I imagine the 11 is gonna be around 30k for the base, 35k for the premium (similar to the camaro pricing) but with 0 incentives for sometime.

With that said, if anyone likes the style but can't afford the upcoming v8
(of course that is all speculation) now is a great time to get a 10, I got mine cheaper then most v6 stangs and just about all v6 camaros.

I say any increase will be on par with the increase seen with the '96 release of the 4.6L over the outgoing '95 5.0L. Thats basically the same as whats happening now, new engine in an old body design.
