Default Hesitation/Loss of Power While In Boost At WOT

While driving my Mustang at WOT, I am in boost and then all of a sudden I lose power.

I hear a rush of air and it feels as though I am driving a stock Mustang GT.

And while driving like a normal person, I feel a hesitation almost as if something is misfiring.

I can hear my exhaust almost studder/spit and then it runs smoothly again.

Otherwise, my car starts up strong and it hasn't stalled on me.

I'm thinking maybe it's a spark plug/wire issue.

Any ideas of what it COULD be or what I should look for?

Thanks!

God I hope he knew that but that could be a reason for the WOT but I wonder about it affecting at "normal driving" conditions.

Just for the heck of it, pull one of the plugs and see how it looks. My car was doing something similar, took it to the stealership, they changed the plugs, said they were fouled, chalked it up to bad gas. Thankfully, no charge. Just a thought

The TCS button is definately off.

Thanks for mentioning that one!

While driving under normal acceleration I feel a pause/hesitation/stutter (audibly verified in the exhaust note) and then it goes away. I don't know how else to explain it, hehe.

It almost feels like something is misfiring for a second and then it goes away.

While under WOT, I'm in boost and then I'm not in boost according to my boost gauge. The fuel gauge stayed the same and I didn't look at my Wideband A/F gauge.

This doesn't happen everytime I'm at WOT, which is good I suppose.

I looked at all of the hoses/connections and everything is on tight.

There are no check engine lights or trouble codes appearing.

Sorry, I don't have anymore information.

I am definitely interested in this topic. I seem to lose boost at 4k rpm in 4th gear, but don't seem to feel it in any other gear... but also my car has been sleeping since first snow.

Sounds like your bypass valve may be failing.
