why would you want to put a 15" sub in a mustang? not to mention a kicker sub and a legacy amp?

if your car is a base you dont need anything but the amp kit. you will just need to find a turn on some where like the SJB.

what is the difference between splicing into the rear speakers and running a wire from the headunit? would there be a different signal if ran from the headunit, and would i have to buy one of those splitters or whatever for around $40.
Sorry for hijacking, i just want to make sure i have this all planned out before starting to buy the parts.
thanks a ton

There isn't going to be a difference catching the signal at the radio or the rear speakers. It is just going to be easier to catch it at the rear speakers, but running the wiring from the radio makes the install look cleaner because there isn't a bundle of wire hiding some where in the turnk. And the 12volt turn on can be found at the antenna in the trunk. It should be a blue wire, but use a dmm to verify it.

And yes you will need a line out converter unless the amp you have is able to accept a high level signal.
