Question How do you feel about getting stroked?

Well looking at my next line of mods going in, and really thinking about stroking my motor. Looking at the 5.0 kit. However I havent been able to talk to anyone that actualy has this mod done yet. Trying to know what some people who have them or have ridden in them can say about the drivability of it. Wondering how the motor feels and responds. Please let me know if you have any first hand experience. Thanks.

Something about the title of this thread is just WRONG... at least in a car forum.

I never quite understood how boring or stroking works. Someone wanna fill me in? I think boring is making the cylinder slots bigger and putting oversized cylinders in and stroking is using a better crankshaft...but I'm not sure...am I right?

for stroke, its all in the crank, physicaly allowing more movement of the piston, where as bore is the size of the piston. Both accomplish giving it more combustion space.

stroking increases the up and down motion of the piston, inturn that increases displacement, boring is just making the cylinder have a larger diameter, with an increase piston size.

Actually I'd love a stroker. I have my eyes on the BBR 5.0 shortblock if the need ever arises.
