Default Joined the need a new front end club.. I have some ???

well some 87 year old man pulled out in front of me. The cop at the scene said it was his fault. Ive gone through insurence and just got a quote for repair. His insurence is fighting it but mine (geico) said it wasnt my fault and if i want to pay the deductable and get the repairs done now when even the insurence comapines are done fighting i "may" be reimpursed. I would not have an accident on my records and my rates would stay the same.

Any who, i need a new bumper and my hood is a hair bent, but really not noticable. I was quoted around 1300.00 for new bumper and paint on bumper and hood. SO perfect time to upgrade. I would really really like to do the shelby conversion. But i may not be able to do the hood right away depending money. I know the stock hood will work the gt500 bumper.

A few questions i have is my stripes are painted on. If i can save money by not having the body shop paint the strips on and add the stick on strips to the bumper and hood how do guys think that would look? Half painted half not.

Also since they are painted my hood i might as well bite the bullet and buy an aftermarket. Im leaning towards the 2.5" cowl gt500 hood

I was on cevanis site they have like 4 different hoods that all look the same too me. Can any one help differenciate the supersnake/vemon hoods for me?

Sorry to hear about your stang. It's costly, but IMO, you may want to paint the stripes back on the hood. Vinyl may not match right.

I agree with the others, keep the stripes the same.

Here is a picture of the GT500 front end conversions with both the Trufiber Venom Hood and Cervini's Cowl Hood...

Yeah and vinyl stripes have an edge you can clearly see where as painted ones are usually under the clear coat. +1 on the TruFiber hood, I watched a video on youtube where they beat the crap out of one with a hammer.

whos person made the decision that your hood didnt need to be fixed? Dont be nice here man. Your hood wasnt a hair bent before he pulled out in front of you, and its going to cost alot of extra coin to get that repainted.

Dont sell yourself short, take it to your own body place to be appraised, and ask what it will cost to have it fixed IDENTICAL to how you had it before, straight hood and prepaint.

I agree with JD here...
Don't fold on the pressure about your hood or any other damage on the car/
Also, the police report says that the old bag cut you off. End of story.
That means that there isn't any deductible to be applied.
The car has to be put back the way it was before the wreck, anything less is unacceptable.
