Datalogging and mailorder tunes
Which mailorder tuners out there will work with you on revising tunes after datalogging a/f and such? I plan to purchase an LC-1 wideband, datalog my a/f and need a tuner who can revise my tunes accordingly without bending me over (so to speak
). I think Justin w/ VMP will do this but I've been having trouble reaching him.
I ordered a Brenspeed 93 tune last week and it's so rich my car puffed smoke out the tailpipes when I loaded it up. My old Bama 91 from 3 years ago runs better and gets 5 more mpg (around town even) than the Brenspeed.

Tuners generally lock all or portions of their tunes. You'll probably have to go back to the tuner that did your tune with the datalogs for the adjustments. You should also ask the tuner which PID's he would like you to log.
Doug and Justin both will work with you and the datalogging. Doug is probably not an option with how busy he is but he has done it many time in the past with some guys with cams and the x-charger. I was giong to have him do the same last summer with me but I slacked off after talking to him about it and didnt get around to doing it.
I am sure brenspeed would be able to do it too but i never have talked to brent about it.
Justin would probably be happy to also if he has time

I'll have to speak with Brenspeed next week because I was lucky to get 17mpg on a trip home that I usually break 21-22mpg with the Bama tune. That's quite a mileage loss! And the idle's all over the place. Jumps around from 650 to 950 quite a bit...with idle set at 800. Idle is rock solid with the bama tune set at 750. This tune is def off, surprising because I only have C&L racer intake and full exhaust.
I'm def going to get a wideband and do some logging. I found a dyno here in austin today as well who charges $54 a run, $75 with a/f logging. I won't shell out $500 for another dyno tune. I think I can come pretty damn close myself working with a mail order tuner. Justin is probably my man if I can get ahold of him.
