Need Help with New Rotors Shaking While Braking
Hey guys I installed my Baer Decelarotors from CDC yesterday and I didnt really drive around too much to notice anything yesterday but while driving today, whenever I would go to brake from going about 50MPH+ the steering wheel and car would shake like crazy. Any ideas one what this could be? I was thinking it be that I reused my brake pads which may have been worn to stock rotors, but I only have 2500 miles. Or maybe there is a high point on a rotor? Maybe I didnt clean them good enought prior to installation? I really dont know but I was hoping someone might have idea on what I should do.
I'm by no means an expert but agree , plus all guys in my club say if replacing rotors do pads same time and a lot recommend

Brake shaking is usually caused by uneven brake deposits on rotors, warped surfaces, or rotors that are not sitting evenly on the mounting surface.
The rotors are new so they should be true and straight. The rotors probably don't have deposits unless your first trip out on them you slammed on the brakes from 100 mph and let them sit and cool in the same spot. That's probably not your problem, i hope.
When you installed the new rotors did you reinstall the circular clips on the wheel studs holding the old rotor on? If you put them back on, get rid of them. They are notorious for causing vibrations especially on aftermarket wheels.
Did you clean and scrub the rotors real well with soap and water, dry them, then clean them with brake cleaner? Rotors usually come coated with rust inhibitor that is tough to get off. That might be reducing the friction and causing your brakes to grab and slip over and over. That will keep happening until the rust inhibitor is completely removed.
When you installed the new rotors did you clean the hub mounting face under the rotor? It should have been covered with grease. If there was dirt and sand under there it might make the rotor sit unevenly on the hub face. I'd say try to clean off all the grease on the hub face and inside the rotor. Apply some clean hi temp grease and reinstall the rotors and see if that fixes it.

Thanks, I cleaned the rotors once over with only brake cleaner on both side, pretty sure I got everything off. Not sure about that pin, I will have to check. I did not clean the hub however. Thanks for the ideas.
