Default SLP LM installed

I installed the SLP LM. So, far I like them. At start-up it's loud, louder than my last axlebacks: magnapacks. At idle it quiets down. It's fairly tame when you drive at normal speeds, but is loud when you step on it. Are SLP known to trumpet? I don't know if it's the nature but when I step on the gas peddle, I hear a blaring trumpeting noise. Or is that because of my mid pipe, prochamber w/hi-flow cats?

Can't recall if they "trumpet". I had a set for a week, was too agressive for me. Then went to FRPP Borla Stingers, now Boomtubes. Many people have SLP's, good exhaust. Will take some time getting use to the new sound, enjoy!

Listening to the exhaust again, I don't think what I am hearing is trumpeting, it's just the nature of the SLPs. When I am driving and then step on the gas, it gets louder and stays loud, unlike trumpeting which blares or blats for a few seconds.
With that in mind, I am liking this set-up more and more.

Been thinking seriously about ordering these. With stock manifolds and cats, jsut How loud are they, Straight pipe Harley Davidson loud? Trying to gauge the actual volume of these. Love the sound on Y tube clips though..

I get compliments all the time on mine with the stock exhaust... sounds very well... might have some popping when the engine is cold but going down the road sounds nice not too loud... but if you ever plan on going long tubes or off road x pipe I'd probably choose a different setup....

I actually installed my Loudmouths yesterday, took me a little bit, but I fell in love with them. So loud, it's amazing. Yes, they do pop a little bit when you start it up and it's real cold out, but what exhaust doesn't? Definitely not for the weak of heart.

my car came with them, and I loved the sound so I don't think I'll be changing it...I get lots of compliments on them, lots of people on here seem to think they are to thrashy, but thats what I like most
