onboard stuff????

 

The onboard computer. It shows up on the dash where your mileage and trip meter is. On the premium models, at least for the GT, you can cycle through different features, MPG, average speed, fuel efficiency meter are the little extras I can think of.

 

I see like 15ish city, or 18-22 highway with my mods. Though once the bypass is closed I see more like 2 to 4

 

oh yea ive seen them on pictures...thats a cool feature i guess..lol

 

18-20 highway city with traffic driving normal.

20-27 highway driving 65-70

Typically 23-24 combined, best tank so far (after CAI) 30.4 from Tucson to Casa Grande averaging 55-70 (lots of construction slowdowns).

 

i do about 50/50 highway city... i only get about 17.2 and thats a V6 without any real engine mods... and i drive pretty conservativley...

 

99% city driving

3.73 gears

extremely spirited driving (ie: lots of wheel spin and corner sliding)

14-15 mpg. just depends on my lead foot

 

My car is a deluxe and it has that feature too! I find it usefull for monitoring how I'm driving "at the moment", but when I calculate the average MPG for the tank, it's gonna be done on paper.

I see acouple people say "before CAI" and "after CAI", how does this effect MPG? I would think a cai+tune would make the engine less restrictive and more effecient, so assuming a very small boost in MPG, if you keep the driving habits identical...

 

I'm going to do a paper calculation too. I'm a bit curious to see what I really run.

As for the CAI, I actually saw a minor decrease in MPG but that's with the onboard computer and I will need to look at my CAI again.
