Just wondering if anyone else notices how hard it is to push our clutches in while driving. I have to use a lot of strength and energy to push my clutch in, not sure if it is defective or its harder on all mustangs. When I drove other manual cars they seem to be a million times easier to push in.

Also with my mgw short shifter it takes a lot of force to get it into 1st, 2nd, 5th, and reverse gears. I think because of the springs in it. Is there any way to loosen the tension in it?

 

Anyone change their clutch to make it softer?

 

The only clutches I have felt that were soft were on older cars where the clutch had basically worn itself out. A stiff clutch isn't a bad thing.

 

my '05 Mustang GT was the same way. From what i understand they changed some things up in the '08 models and it's easier. Slickest shifting 'stang I have had by far is the new 2010 shown below.
