Are the following modifications really worth the money: 3.73 gears, pypes headers, FRPP Hot Rod cams, Aluminum driveshaft, and a short throw shifter? This is looking at the be around 3000 before install. So I want to know if it is worth it?

short throw shifter is worth the money, every one says gears are worth the money so i would say get them. headers and cams would be nice, cams would give you the most hp. and aluminum driveshaft, eh.

Of the mods listed only headers seem to be "controversial" to some degree.

Too late on keeping it stock. Matt, I did an estimate, but maybe I am wrong. I still have no Consensus on what to get. I want to get something that is beneficial power wise. I am asking you all because I can get an honest answer with out being pressured to buy.

gears are worth every penny, including the extras that i spend on gas. the hot rod cams, i have heard mixed reviews some saying it is all noise and not much go, the short throw is always nice. the headers are a mixed feeling, don't know if you want st or lt, if st don't waste the money, lt i would probably get a brand other than pypes, heard of a lot of fitment issues with them. gears will give you more "go" and a good set of cams will give more than headers. out of the 5 i would go with gears,cams,and short throw

The cams seem to depend on having LT headers for good gains or so I've read. If you do one do the other.

Cams are a waste on these cars IMO.
It's half the money (unless you install yourself) of a blower just about and for what...?
