Talking V6 to a GT

I am most likely going to buy a V6 because it is cheaper, and well a Mustang is a Mustang. But I really love the look of the GT: The front bumper with the foglights, the rear bumper with the two exhausts, the emblem, etc.

What are all the things, that I havent mentioned already, I can change to make it look identical to a GT, but still run like a V6? And how much will this cost in the long run?

What year are you looking at? The new V6 will be able to run against the older GT's.....

Dont make a V6 looks exactly like a GT, do you own thing for whatever parts you think look the best. In the end you will have a much more unique car that you like better.

Something to think about... unless you x-charge or get some sort of power adder, the v6 won't be able to keep up with even a stock v8, and on top of that, the real world gas mileage is the same.

If you can find one within your budget, definitely go gt and mod that, you'll be much happier.

I agree with you, there are too many options out there to make your car your own identity. I did put duals on but I did it my way without the use of a GT rear bumper. As far as the GT fogs, I personally like the Pony Package of the V6 better.....but that's me. You should look around the forums and see what's out there. You can get some really great info on this forum.

If you are going to get the 2011 V6 than go for it. If you plan on buying a 2005-2009 V6, don't waste your money. It will be a waste of money and time to try to mod the V6 so that it compares to a GT... with all the money that you will be spending on the mods, you might as well buy a GT and not have to worry about anything going wrong. I was in the same predicament a few months back. I ended up buying a GT. Never looked back since. Whatever your decision will be, good luck!

Get the gt. I bought a v6 a few years back and after only having it a few weeks I wanted the gt. The v6 just doesn't feel the way a muscle car should nor does it sound like one. Get the gt you wont regret it. There's a lot of property that go from a v6 to a gt but none from a gt to a v6. Plus the price difference isn't huge. And if you make a v6 look like a gt you will probably end up paying more in the end and still not have a v8

Disagree with this^, its not really that expensive to look like a GT. But personally I dont think GTs look so perfect either, Aftermarket stuff tends to look better then anything stock of either. At least copy a roush or shelby if you want to copy something. And my Sixer sounds and feels awesome BTW.

Go with the car that fits your budget better. If you can get a 2011 v6 go for it, probably gonna end up being the better all around car IMO. Now if you can end up getting a good deal on a GT then I would pull the trigger. However the s197 v6's can be had for really really cheap right now and can be modded to be fairly quick, quicker than a GT in fact. You would probably save money by going with a 6. However if your not really into working on cars than a GT maybe the way to go. Bottom line stick to the budget.
