Default Killing drone..Dynamat?

Well I ordered some Mac axle backs to go with my o/r h and from what I've read this set up is the king of drone. So I was wondering if usinf dynamat or some kind of sound deadening material in the trunk would work. Has anyone done this? Or is there any other tricks to silence the drone a bit? Ive heard long tubes and gears help but thats not really in the budget at the moment.

has any one ever tried wrapping the mufflers themselves? that would be interesting to see if it would work.

Default dynomat

to kill drone you have to apply the matt, under the rear seat carpet, fender wells, and rear trunk.

I've got about 16 square feet of dynamat in my car. It didn't even begin to stop the drone from my boomtubes. I don't think dynamat is the proper kind of insulation to stop a sound that moves with the car. It'll help with wind and maybe tire noise. Perhaps research more kinds of sound deadening first.

Dynamat is a kind of sound deadening material, but mostly it weighs down the material enough so that it does not cause noise from the metal vibrating. Dynamat should be combined with some additional form of sound deadening foam or two. The foam will actually deaden the noise...

Right, I didn't think Dynamat canceled out the noises made by exhaust, but from other things. There's different materials and densities of sound deadening made for specific purposes. I don't think regular dynamat is made for canceling out exhaust noise. Mine doesn't.

For example, this stuff is made for exhaust drone.
