Week 2 dial-in update on the Killer...
Week 2 of the Killer's dial-in also yielded some great info as week 1 did.
By week 4 - should be at full power and breaking 3V records...
Still working out and testing 'bugs' - with the bug being me being comfortable. I cannot and will not launch this car any more with only one hand on the wheel. Currently, my trans brake is on the shifter and I have to launch the car with one hand and it's far too violent. I lifted on every single pass at launch as the TPS data log showed after every run.
However, I still ran faster and had a new PB so mission accomplished. As long as I run faster each week, we are making progress. This week, we will be working out putting the brake on the steering wheel and also welding my seat so I can get closer to the wheel. My seat is too far back for how this car launches and we'll be back next week and hopefully I can run it full out. Car went 5.89 @ 122 mph last night...
Also had a 'lowrider' pass...lol
No crap, I lifted and got back into the car 3 times and did 3 wheelies down the track - it looked like a low rider race car bouncing down the track. We ran that pass full out and it was just too much for me and the way the set-up is but it was funny. On that last pass, I lifted 3 times and still ran 121 mph...lol
When I get the little changes fixed this week, I think the car is going to see it's potential within the next 2 weeks.
