Default Brookspeed vs Bama on mustang dyno

A local mustang club was sponsoring a dyno day. It was a mustang dyno. The main reason why I dynoed was to check my A/F, which was good. I dynoed both my brooksppeed and bamachips tune. My Brookspeed dynoed 283RWHP/307 RWTQ. with an A/F of 12.6. The person doing the dyno who also tunes cars was impressed with these numbers. Next was bama's 91 tq. 301 RWHP/ 309 RWTQ with an A/F of 12.9. He said this was higher not only because it was a little leaner, but also there is more timing in this tune. He told me to add 1% in my Brooksspeed at the upper RPM range. I did this and the car feels faster.

Doug is a great tuner...spot on for your car and good numbers too. I would still recommend Bama to anyone

I'd love to try out a bama tune. Hopefully he's up and running soon

The dyno sheets are too small, but there is really no difference in the hp/tq curves between the two tunes.

That's what I'm thinking at first I thought it was a jab at Brenspeed..LOL

I am familiar with Brenspeed & Bama & they are both great tuners! I personally use brenspeed & I am very happy!

Nice #'s by the way!!!

Eric Brooks is the tuner for brooksspeed. He used to be an employee for SCT and then he went out on his own. He runs the site over at modularfords.com

Interesting, though.

An 05 mustang gt with a manual did have a breenspeed tune and he dynoed 303rwhp/313rwtq, but he also had L/T headers.
