HOW DO I REMOVE THE FACTORY RADIO
I ordered my 2005 Mustang GT with Every Bell and Whistle they had, Except the Skipper 1000 Stereo system . Thanks to the Stang Forums I avoided the Shaker system like the plage. I can spend the same amount of money for a system 10 times better. So I Purchase the following.....
Pioneer AVIC-D1 Nav system (with XM TrafficNav and IPOD)
2 JL Audio 450/4 Amplifiers
4 Boston Acoustic 6x8 SL80 front and rear
1 Scousch 12" EFX HDW 1204 Subwoofer for 05' mustang (trunk)
my main concern is CLARITY! I don't need to impress my neighbors, or the next neighborhood over for that matter...
SO HOW DO I REMOVE THE FACTORY RADIO (Non Shaker)
Need Instructions.... HELP

RE: HOW DO I REMOVE THE FACTORY RADIO
There is an article in the latest 5.0 Mustang & Super Ford Magazine about adding a sub to a stock system. The article has multiple pictures and step by step instructions on acessing the factory radio.
Good lick.

Sorry dude, I can't find the old thread either. I know someone has it... Just hang in there, I am sure they will be on later this evening after work or something and post them for you.

RE: HOW DO I REMOVE THE FACTORY RADIO
I did a search for pdf.
I just installed the the alpine CDA-9847 last night.
Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong adapter for auxilary out.
Crutchfield is shipping the right one today. I'm running my line
up through the console that plugs into my ipod. That way I have
power and a line for my ipod in the console. I can't wait to get
my ipod working in the mustang, I miss it sooooo much. Nothing
compares to having 3000+ songs in your stang.
Alpine sounds great.
I don't have the "my color" option, but this HU would be a good choice
for someone that did. It changes color, blue, green, red and amber.
I also like the way it reads mp3's, very fast compared to the Shaker.
Now to figure out how to pull the back seat so I can run my amp wires to the trunk.

RE: HOW DO I REMOVE THE FACTORY RADIO
Well I ordered the system and going to have it installed, as soon as it gets done I'll post pictures. But based on just comparing/contrasting mentally I think this one is a perfect fit for the big hole in the dash instead of looking weirdly snapped in.
