Fill it up with gas and go!!!!

Depending on how long it has been since the last oil change, say around 2-3K miles, I would change the oil. Tire rotation is really not needed. When you get back, you may want to rotate and balance them as well as getting a wheel alignment.

Can I get an Amen!

The alignment check 1yr/12k miles. Unless you feel the car pulling left/right, steering wheel off center, or uneven front tire wear.

Check your fluid levels and tire psi. Gas n go! have fun!

I had planned a road trip to Fl. myself, gf wants to fly so more time to stay there

Tell her that if you drive, your body will adjust to the climate better. If you fly, your body goes into heat shock. See if that helps any.

Nothing special other than following the service guidelines in your manual.

If you cross the 5K interval, stop at a dealer or service station and have it done, if not, nothing to worry about.

Ahh, but did you think to tell her that with the way the Hurricanes have been coming out of no where, if you have the car with you, you can high tail it if necessary, whereas if you fly...........

LOL
