Default Light output on tinted fogs, esp those with them mounted behind the grille?

I picked up the stack racing grille and mounted my lights behind it. It took a while making brackets but well worth the work. I tinted the fogs with the VHT nightshade(awesome product by the way). I did three coats which to me was roughly 20-30% tint. Looking at the fog light i can see everything and looking through the bulb hole it not that dark. I bought a set of 3000k bulbs to put in them and at the same time i added 6k hid in the headlights.

Im sure the hids drown out the fogs but between the tint, yellow bulbs and behind the grille my fog lights are worthless now. All for show, even in the dark w/o headlights and fogs only the output its terrible. Before i could drive with fogs only, i actully thought they where better than the headlights.

There aimed well just maybe too much stuff limiting there output. Seeing if anyone else had this problem. I know there a few guys on here that had there fogs behind the grille
