Has anyone switched from Boomtubes to one of these and can tell me if any of them sound deeper than Boomtubes? I'm thinking the chambered version might be the deepest but the only video on Youtube I've found is of their prototype.

The sound I really want is like this...

The Bassani's are so expensive though.

Hey, that's my car. That setup was ok, but it just didn't sound good enough to me. The S197 really needs headers of some kind to make it sound decent.

I recently sold those Bassani mufflers to another forum member. Sorry ;-)

California doesn't require a smog check on new vehicles for 6 years.

Thanks for the responses everyone! It seems like chambered mufflers are the way to go for me if I want that deep, hollow sound. I might go with the SSS chambered mufflers and be the guinea pig on this one since I can't find any vids on it.

You could even try stock axlebacks. Here is a pair of stock ones for cheap.

I still have my stock mufflers but I wanted something nicer with larger tips.
I've already placed an order for the SSS chambered axle backs through LMPerformance. Can't wait to hear what they sound like.

I received the SSS chambered mufflers yesterday and installed them last night. The install was a pain because I had to bend the front hangers on both mufflers to get them aligned. How do these sound you ask? They're mellow and deep; not as deep as I had hoped. I guess I was looking for something that was deep like the MACs but was afraid of the drone MACs are known for. The SSS have very little drone at 1500rpm but you come out of that quickly so it doesn't really matter. Cruising on the highway at 70mph and 2000rpm, there's no noticeable drone at all. It sounds almost stock at cruising speeds and I can hear my tires spinning on the roadway more than the mufflers. Hahaha They sound pretty deep when revving the motor though. Anyway, I'm still wanting a deeper sound so I might sell the SSS mufflers and say, "what the heck," and buy the MACs.
