Where I go to school, the elements are extremely brutal...I can't afford stainless, but i've heard that the ceramic coating is a good first line of defense...comments?

 

i have BBK ceramic LT's. they are not SS.
i dont have brutal elements where i live, just a little rain and sun.
but i do have some surface rust on the headers on the underside near the collectors
seems like its from water when i drive in the rain
its a little 1" or less spot on each header on the surface, the rest of the headers are fine, had them on since 07.
ceramic is better than nothing, but 304 SS and ceramic coated would be perfect
Pypes makes some cheap 304 SS headers which people seem to like
Mac would be a nice cheap alternative, and BBK.

 

honestly, would you reccommend bbk ceramic longtubes over pypes or mac?

 

of those 3, i would go with Mac 1st
and then toss up between the Pypes and the BBK
the only reason being i have never had the Pypes LT's so i cant honestly say
i also had a problem with the BBK and my DS safety loop, the loop was just touching the o/r x pipe so i had to fab it a little at a muffler shop.
