Need opinions on new exhaust
Hey Guy's,I need your help.I installed a roush off road cat back system on my 2010 mustang gt about a month ago and I absolutely love the sound.Problem is the homeowners association doesn't agree with me and have asked me to remove my "nuisance exhaust" within 30 days via a legal letter or prove that it is noise and emission legal in GA (it's not)so I have no choice but comply or move.I noticed that the FRPP exhaust similar to the borla stingers is 50 state legal but,I have not heard them for myself.Have any of you heard them as well as the roush exhaust? If so is it notably quieter or about the same? Thanks for any help you can give.By the way I will be listing the roush exhaust in the classified section but if anyone is interested before then pm me.Paid $585.00 + shipping looking for $400.00 +shipping they have less than 500 miles on them as of this post. Thanks again,Kevin

These are the ones that are similar to the borla stingers: http://www.ninosport.com/Ford-Racing...-5230-mgtl.htm and they are 49 state legal. Don't worry they are legal in GA. If I am correct, the Roush off road cat back is basically a muffler delete with OTA pipes. The stingers will be quieter but still have a nice throaty tone. Your HOA shouldn't have a problem with those. That sucks about your HOA. My HOA hasn't said anything to me and I leave my condo anywhere from 4:30 to 5:30 A:M

GA Law seems to be too vague:
"(c) It shall be unlawful for any person to sell or offer for sale any muffler which causes excessive or unusual noise or annoying smoke or any muffler cutout, bypass, or similar device for use on a motor vehicle or for any person to use, to sell, or to offer for sale any motor vehicle equipped with any such muffler, muffler cutout, bypass, or similar device. Any person violating this subsection shall be guilty of a misdemeanor."
That seems to be sufficiently vague to apply to pretty much any aftermarket exhaust if their lawyer is good enough. If your HOA wants to be nasty they have you by the *****.

is this your off road catback?
this does have straight thru muffler like pypes midmufflers.
if you are wanting to change to stingers, those are pretty loud as well.
why dont you just say your exhaust is stock?

I'm sure glad the three 20-something chicks living in the 3 bedroom next door to me don't have loud exhausts. It's like a freaking revolving door over there, 2 VW (new style) bugs and a little corolla (thank god) or their musical cars routine every night at 10-11pm trying to get all three in the garage would make me nuts.

Muffler cutout? WTF is that? Cutting a hole in your muffler? I guess they mean EXHAUST cutout.
Muffler cutout...LOL fuktards.
My advice, get some EXHAUST cutouts and at 4am do some John Force style burnouts up and down the street with them open.
