SS? You mean stainless steel? I didn't think they came in stainless steel.

gman73, the new Flowmaster classic 40 is stainless steel. These mufflers are used in the new American Thunder Classic axleback for the S197. I think you can get most Flows in stainless steel now.

You can get the Flowmaster American Thunder Classic axelbacks on autoanything.com for $405.95 and 12% bing cash back. That would make it $357.24 with free shipping and no tax. The American Thunder Classic axelbacks are the original 40 series square mufflers with 4" slant cut rolled tips.

I think the price quotes were for the aluminized ones. I would assume it would be about $20-30 extra for the ss ones.

The Flowmaster A/T Classics are stainless steel for the price I posted above. The classics only come in stainless steel but the original Flowmaster American Thunder axelback set comes in either aluminized steel or stainless steel with stainless being pricier.

Bing cash back is a rebate program thru Bing.com which is the search engine site for Microsoft.

This vid is one reason I'm thinking of going the super 44 route.

I realize the sound isn't the greatest in this vid, but that car sounds great with offroad H and super 44 flows. I think my catted Bassani X and BBK shorties will go well with some super 44's.

Have you considered Mac mufflers. Brenspeed told me the flowmaster AT classic and Macs sound almost the same.
