I heated mine up with a hair dryer and then peeled it off with my fingers. Windex might take off the glue residue. Otherwise Goo Gone or some other adhesive remover.

hit it with a blow dryer, works better if its warm outside, then use your finger nail and peel away... then use some type of adheasive remove *i used goo-gone* then wash it and wax it really well and youll never know it was there. easy as pie!

You will be able to get the decal off with no problem but you might have a paint issue. I had a car that was about three years old when I removed the dealer decal. The paint was faded around the decal but not where the decal was. It was like they burned in the dealer name. After some heavy polishing I was able to make it less obvious but you could still see it. Hopefully car paints and polishes have evolved over the years.

+1 on the hair dryer. I used bug and tar remover last time I removed a sticker on my buddy's car to get rid of the stubborn glue left over. Goo-Gone wasn't getting the job done.

and another note to add, it really depends on the sticker on how long it will take you... a little fine-lined font is gunna be 10minutes, a thick long font is gunna take forever, your best bet....take it back to the dealer and have them remove it.

1- Gently remove the sticker with a plastic razorblade, or edge of a credit card.
2- Remove the glue by Gently dabbing (dont rub)the adhesive with alcohol and a soft cloth or even some wax depending on the amount of adhesive.

If it is a dark color and has been on the car for a couple years, you will see the decal. (Where the decal was) The paint around it will have probably faded making it noticeable.
If all else fails and you don’t feel overly comfortable. I think most Dealers would remove it for you without any problems.
Good Luck!

Agree, hair dryer and time. I pulled my two year old rally stripes off this way and not one problem. Car is 95% parked in doors, so no fading at all. Get some good detailing wax (not just regular stuff) and clean it up. Check out the detailing section to find what works best with your color. Im partial to Mequiars personally, works great, easy to find and good cost.

I used my fingernails and wiped off the adhesive residue with a rag.
