Question about X pipes
I know some X pipes are tru x pipes like the bassani and magnflow and some x-pipes look like two pipes welded together to form a X such as UPR, Pypes and SLP. Do these two types of X pipes make a difference in sound?

The original X-pipe wasn't any of those (IIRC, it was Dr. Gas, who probably copied what some pretty sharp hotrodder had figured out for himself). The Dr. Gas piece looks just like two 90° elbows sliced and welded back to back.

The Bassani piece looks like it has a small common chamber that might affect exhaust pipe resonances (and the sound) slightly. I guess it does fall closer to the "X" category than to the "H" and it makes for easier advertising distinction to call it an "X", but I certainly wouldn't call it a "true" X-pipe.
