Default H Pipe Install ???

I just got my Pypes O/R H pipe from Brenspeed. The directions seem pretty easy. They recommend that you weld the "H" part together. Is this necessary since I dont have a welder and would have to pay someone to do it. Also is there a write up on how to do the install? I looked in Taco Bills stickeys but couldnt find anything.

Taco bill does have a write up for the pypes H pipe. Welding it is necessary unless you like exhaust leaks

I did mine by myself. It is not an easy job. Unless you have access to a lift at a shop. I drove my front end up on 2 x 4's and used my jack stands as a safety net in case. Welding is not necessary. Tighten it up right and you'll be fine. I'm sure you could even use some exhaust wrap if need be on the middle there. On mine, the part where the h fits together is a real tight fit. Be ready to have an extension and swivel wrench for working on the stock manifolds.

A friend of mine installed this midpipe and immediately took it to get welded after it was on due to all of the leaks. I would plan on getting it welded.

I do have access to a lift. Did your friend weld the entire set up or just the "H" part?

Can someone give me a link to the Taco Bill write up?

Welding is going to be necessary. Also, did brenspeed ship you the small inserts that go in between the h-pipe and exhaust manifolds? These are usually needed to ensure a tight seal at the manifold

Seriously, you can go to a local exhaust shop and have them weld it for like $15-20.

Huh, no leaks on mine. I would use that lift for sure and a buddy to help balance out the pipes if you can.

Yes Brenspeed did send two little metal pieces with one end flared open, I assume thats what youre talking about with the manifold. Not worried about getting it welded just making sure it was necessary. Is the stock H welded? Thanks for the info, will post up some results when its done.
