Default I am an IDIOT! Went through a huge puddle today...questions

Well, I managed to do something completely RETARDED in the 3rd day of owning my car. Today it was raining heavily in FL here today. While parking at the local LA fitness gym, I looked down and realized I was about to enter a HUGE deep puddle. Well about that time I realized it, my car stalled out. I got out, and had water a quarter of the way up my wheels. I pushed my car out of the puddle, and sat there for a second thinking. My car is s/c, and this felt like a complete nightmare. I started the car up, it idled kind of hard for a few seconds, and then everything was fine. I let the car sit there for a few minutes just idling. A decent amount of white smoke did come out of my exhaust ( I do have an OR H pipe), but other than that, no problems. All my gauges(a/f, boost/vac, water temp etc) were reading normal as well, no erratic spikes or decelerations anywhere.

I know this sounds completely mornic. I am used to driving a truck and this is the first car I've owned in 4 years. I have a kenne bell 2.6H, and as alot of you know, Kenne bells intake system is extremely low down by my front right wheel. This was the problem, not to mention, my car is lowered....Actually the DRIVER (me ) was the problem obviously!

Since this incident today, my car has been running fine, no hiccups no nothing. Am I in the clear? what should I check for? Thanks guys

You only spent $20K for that car, so go off-roading with it.

i would let it sit a couple of days to be o the safe side, allowing any water that could be in the car to dry up.

Generally if its running fine now, it should be fine.
I know most guys who jet ski (and have to deal with water ingestion all the time) try to get their engine fired back up ASAP then run it for a while to ensure any water is driven out or evaporated. If it didnt hydro lock of cause any immediate damage you should be good.

This is only what I think as well...if nothing happened when I turned it over, and I've driven almost 100 miles since, and the car is running like its new, I figured I am in the clear. I am probably over exaggerating the situation because I just got the car...

yep sounds like all the water evaporated when you started up and idled before it could get in anywhere

If you get water in your filter you'll know because the car would die or sputter after the start but in your case sounds like your good.
