Default CAI Question

Which of the CAI systems offered by Brenspeed offers the best "bang for the buck"?

Default CAI

I contacted Brenspeed by e-mail. In that they suggested Steeda, JLT & C&L

Hi Golden...
All CAI's have the potential to supply more then the amount of air a N/A engine can take in...so it is just a matter of what look you wish to have...they use the stock MAF sensor and the reason for the need of a tune is to accomodate the different air flow dynamics from the stock box.

Except for Granatelli, they provide a new calibrated MAF with their CAI.

All of the tune-required CAI's are equivalent in performance. The tune is 80% of the power adder of the combo.

So, it really doesn't matter which one - except for looks. I am less interested in "look" and more in power added.

Power added to a mostly stock setup will be about the same with most of the CAIs. If you are going to do more mods like LT headers, heads or cams then one of the CAIs with bigger MAF may be better, such as C and L Racer or Steeda.

As far as value, the JLT seems to be a little cheaper and most guys who have it really like it.

A steeda or c&l for the best bang for the buck? Not likely. The JLT is the only kit coming to my mind if the money is most important.

Is the C&L racer much better than the C&L street that I currently have? (the C&L racers came out right after I bought mine :/)
