It handles great and I didnt have any idea how much above my GT it is...and I love my GT...but the Shelby with the Brenspeed stage 2 upgrade package is simply AWESOME!

Well luckily the blue and white 07 GT500 with 600 miles on it that was listed for 36k has been sold. Someone got an incredible deal and could probably make 5k right off the bat if they want to flip it. I say luckily because it helps get it out of my mind!!

I agree... letting somebody else make the decision for you won't necessarily eliminate the possibility of regret. Though I have to say, were I in your shoes, I would have no idea either I've never even DRIVEN a regular GT, let alone owned one, so I wouldn't have to worry about the GT not being enough, at least not yet!

I agree. My main reason for not pulling the trigger is the fact that I travel every week for work and we only have one private parking spot which I leave for my wife. My car goes right in front of the condo but on the street. It would kill me to have a GT500 sitting on the street week after week with people trying to parallel park around it everyday. It was even worse during the DC snow storms where I came home to find my car completely covered in 5 feet of plowed snow and ice....
Not to mention the fact that I have ABSOLUTELY no need to own a car, especially one that nice.

I agree you made the right decision...I couldnt bear the thought of that car being out anywhere like that!...why I drive an old beater Toyota pickup as a DD LOL...the problem with these cars...no matter which one you have they suck you in like a black hole!! The bottom line is they are just damn fun!

At 4200 pounds tires and brakes really take a beating at a road course, don't they?

And given the weight difference, I wonder if the 2011 GT would have a faster 1/4 mile time?
