Yes, that's true. The non-foulers may prevent a code, but it doesn't change what comes out of your exhaust pipes.

When did you purchase your stang? 10/14/05 here and no notice for testing yet. Not suppose to be until it hits 4 years for new cars. Then ever other year.

Sounds like I make out either way on that deal, I'll take it! I purchased my car on 5/2/2008 from Carmax with 2,600mi. on it. I think you get a little extra time if you are the original owner of the car.

You are allowed 1 not ready. It was 2, but I think it went down to 1, and maybe even now none. Im not in the retail of the repair industry any more so Im not sure. But I still have my access to the web site for info.

Ok, after taking a look, heres the info
1996 -2000 are allowed 2 non-continous monitors not ready and 2001 and newer must have all but one non-continous monitor not ready. Unless there is a cat code, the cat monitor does not have to be ready.
