4.10's are in...
4.10's are in. They were installed a week ago. I have since put a little over 100 miles driving conservatively so I haven't had a chance to test it out under WOT.
Here are my observations so far...
1) The 4.10's are livable with the o/d. Mine is a 5 speed. At 70 MPH, RPMs hover around the 2100 range. At 75, 2400 RPMs and 80, 2900 RPMs. My main cruising speed is around 70-75. Driving around town, I am in 5th gear
2) Gas mileage did go down. It's not a huge difference, but it is noticeable. I would estimate around a 1-2MPG decrease, and again, my driving has been more conservative than normal.
3) I can feel the difference in acceleration. I am shifting early and often, but this was expected.

I was impressed with the RPMs at highway speeds, but was not too pleasantly surprised to find about a 2 mpg decrease when your driving MORE conservatively.
How much for the install? That's the only thing holding me back from them.
Be sure to update us when you actually try it out.
