Default quick lookup favor

I'm finalizing the paperwork on an '06 V6 in less than 18 hours, and I'm super-nervous! Never made a purchase this big before- and thanks to all of you for the advice so far, steering me towards the credit union, giving feedback, etc.

I have a Carfax report from the dealer but it's, like, suspiciously clean. Never seen one with such little information.

Does anyone have access to the Ford history database? I'm not going to mention it by name because then it shows up in Google, and the forum gets inundated/overwhelmed by strangers (this happened at Ford-Trucks.com, where i'm a regular). I'm talking about, y'know, water in the desert...

If anyone has the unlimited subscription to Autocheck and doesn't mind running it there, too, that would be amazing.

...promise the karma will be returned asap.

on the walk over to sign the final papers, realized i'd never actually looked in the trunk to confirm there was a spare. salesguy & i both about fell over when we saw the GIANT Shaker 1000 amp box in there. i'd mistakenly assumed it was a 500 and he didn't know it was an option. that thing is HUGE! looks like someone cut two holes in a footlocker.

too bad the system has no midrange at all, but having the wiring present sure will make my audio plans easier. i dealt with it on the 150 mile long way home by stopping to pick up a 2-cd "best of trance music" compilation. all heavy bass & high female vocals, perfect fit.

more info/photos/musings t/k.

oh, and the woman who dealt with the paperwork said she's going to fax over that thing i was looking for. piece of cake. don't know why none of the 3 local dealerships i called this AM weren't willing to do that.

because dealerships like to pretend that an O*s*s Report doesn't exist.

for some reason they act like it's top secret material. I've had a Service Manager in Seattle flat out lie to my face and say there is no such thing.

edit: btw, congrats on the car purchase. pics?
