Default where did you mount your amp

I'm looking for a place to mount my amp in my 06, its rather small (2.1 x 11 x 11.7). It will be powering 2 5x7's in the rear deck. So where and how to mount this thing? Every other amp I've had has been mounted to my sub box, but I don't have subs in the trunk so I'm searching for somewhere new.

How about mounting the amp on the underside of the package tray, that's where i put it with my '95. I also like to avoid mounting directly on the box so not to worry about vibrations down the line.

Will the amp fit under the rear seat? I'd just put it there, that way it's out of the way. Or take out your spare tire and mount it there out of the way?

what do you mean by package tray? like inbetween the rear speakers? dont they say dont mount amps upside down?

mr crunk - wouldnt putting it under the rear seat be trapping quite a bit of heat? is there anywhere for the heat of the amp to escape?

Were talking about a class a/b amp thats going to be powering some 5X7's, not a big mono block sub amp. I think it would be fine under the seat.

I think I'd sooner do it under the driver or passenger seat.

If you don't have a shaker 1000 system, put the amp in the factory spot. I believe its in the trunk passenger side after the wheel well.

Otherwise on the back side of the rear seats, thats were I put my amps.

So you guys drill into the rear of the seats? On top of that, doesn't it make what little leg room there is even worse?
