Question SCT owners. Who saves their stock tunes on their home computer?

Was wondering if most people do this or not, and how to do it.

Wouldn't it be expensive to get your stock tune back from Ford if you lost your stock tune and had to go back?

Thx!

Correct me if I am wrong but, isn't one of the options is to load up the stock tune??

I save all of my tunes on my computer as well.. just in case...

Well, the tuner always has your stock tune on it if you've installed an aftermarket one, right?

Handhelds sometimes go haywire and have to be reformatted and programmed from scratch. In which case you can lose everything thats on them. Always a good idea to save all your tune files especially stock. Although I suspect SCT and Diablo have copies of stock tunes on file and I would be surprised if most major mailorder tuners dont as well.

I was reading the SCT site and it seems you have to download some sort of firmware or something...

Is this gonna jack with my tunes from Brenspeed that I have now on the tuner?

Oh yeah and here's a funny question.
What if you lost your tune on the SCT and did NOT save a copy.
Could'nt you just go to Ford, tell them your car is acting up... and ask them to reflash your computer?
Then when you get home.... load it back on to your tuner from the car?

BINGO stock tune back?
Yes? No? Maybe?
