Vack, thanks for the concern.

I feel the same way than you do but I think it's because we get more traffic than a couple of years ago...
More traffic means: More @ssholes as well, sadly.
Certain threads also, have a way to get the morons out of the wood work, like the "Dealer drove my car into a pond" thread.

There are prolly close to a dozen idiots with 20 to 50 posts that you never see otherwise, that thought it was cool to go in that thread and post out of their asses.
Plus the douches that joined this site just to post more cr@p on that thread.

Don't give up because the good stuff is still around but it's diluted, so you have to look harder.
The handling section is prolly the one where you learn most at the moment...
That's because it's a more mature crowd and the occasional ******* that venture there gets booted out by the members before we have to make a move.
Gotta love that!

I haven't seen much trolling up in the S197 section. It's a different story if you go to OT, street racing etc. You need to have real thick skin for that.

This is after all a forum board and everyone gets to voice their opinion. Not everyone will agree and yes, some can get agitated, angry, post drunk, etc. but that comes with this territory. I've found this board very helpful, and a place to chill and relax. I just learn to ignore the non-constructive posts and still have fun in between.

Well, now that you're handling it, it's pretty much spot on.
It is indeed a good bunch there, with good infos as well.

I apologize for not mentioning them earlier...

The ONLY problem I see on this forum are the s197 so-called 'tech' threads. But even so, they get moved to the appropriate place. I actually think MF tech forums have gotten better since three years ago. I won't lie, I was kind of upset at some of the v6/v8 bashing threads, but I just took that as a learning experience and can understand both sides a lot more. Going from OT to Tech can be night and day, but that's a good thing, imo. You'll never get bored here, haha.

Overall I am very satisfied with the mods here, one day I hope to become one. I think that people get upset when someone questions a mod or some info they give out

MF is a different place from when I joined up a few years ago. but that was in the SN95/New Edge areas...and those guys were wild. The S197 forum is pretty tame IMO. I hope it stays that way.

It's the same everywhere man. I surf 3 Ford forums (2 F-150, 1 Mustang) and see the same stuff all the time. There is a fine line between censorship and keeping things nice is a hard one. I think the Mods are doing a pretty good job for the most part.

Hell, I haven't been suspended yet. But I did end up getting myself kicked/self removed from IMBOC due to their fanatacism. That says alot.
The Mods on IMBOC were actively Censoring their threads. I don't know how many threads got pruned/deleted before I finally had enough of the crap. I never knew from day to day what would remain the same, or would be changed the next morning to suit someone elses particular view of the world.

You may want more cleaning up here in the S197 area...but trust me, you really don't
sometimes stupid crap like the "FML - Dealership Drove Car" thread drag on...but that is only occasional
