Lightbulb I'm thinking about getting a 2011 GT 5.0

Hi everyone, got yourself a rookie here. Does anyone know how possible it would be to take the lower front clip (not the headlights or upper grill, just the lower piece with the mouth intake) of the current Shelby GT 500 stang and apply it to the 2011 Mustang GT 5.0? Is this something that I could get done when I buy one or would it be in my best interest (cheaper) to buy it afterwards and have it applied? Just trying to get some answers/opinions here, thanks guys!

you wanna put a 07-09 gt500 front bumper on a 2011 gt, that wont work.

The 2010 GT500 front end, should be an easy swap. I'm sure it will be some what expensive to do though.

it won't work because the connection points/surfaces aren't the same or is it something mechanical with the intake?

yea i love the front end of the gt 500 and thats what I'm trying to capture with the new 2011 gt 5.0. So is it kind of a lost cause - too much work?

well thats what I'm trying to tell you, there is a newer body style gt500 that would make for a much easier conversion.

EDIT:
Just reread your original post, you did say the new gt500s. It was deek that said 07-09, sorry for my confusion. I havent seen a guide made like for the 05 to 09 yet, but I'm sure its dooable.

I think before going through the expense of changing it, I'd paint the section of the grill between the headlights and grill body color and see how it looks. I like the look of the 6er front end better than the GT for some reason.
