I'm with you. 63K on mine. It has plenty of bumps and bruises. That's going to happen. You know what bugs me though. I don't like being pestered to bring my car to the various car shows. I appreciate the thought. It is a little out of the ordinary. But the guys with trailer queens take a snobish attitude when the engine bay isn't pristine or there are a couple knicks in the headlight lenses. I've taken to filling out the line about "Special Features" with "Daily Driver".

I will let you in on a secret. This is something the pastor who married my wife and I told us before we got married. I have come to learn that it not only relates to my relationship with my wife, but pretty much anything good in my life.

He said:

"Love is not how perfect she is, but being able to see past her imperfections"

That being said, I Love my wife and I Love my mustang.

The car is 99.8 percent perfect, but yet those .02 bug the living crap out of me!!!!

Do you insist on and obsess over perfection in other things in your life?

THAT...is an AMAZING quote...

For me, I hear ya. I just Clay Bar'd my Mustang and today, it's snowing. I have other cars but would prefer to drive the Mustang when there is no snow since my tires will not allow that.

I bought my car with a big scratch on the rear bumper. The previous owner had a dog that shed like falling leaves in the fall. Took a long time to get all the dog hair out. There are holes in the carpet too but it's mine and I love it.

I have to say my cars are never driven in the rain...ALWAYS highly polished and I wipe them down with detailer before everytime out...not a imperfection anywhere...I only drive them for "fun miles"...I drive a 91 toyota 4x4 pickup DD...I let people know I have a concealed weapons permit and that I am VERY **** about my cars...LOL...but thats just me...

My wife jokes with me all the time that I could never own a Roush Mustang or GT500 simply because I'd go mental. Hell, I own an 08 V6, candy apple red, heavily modded, and already I am way too paranoid with it. The little nicks and dings I do have make me cringe every time I see them.

Very Well Said.

With respect to my '08 GT . . .
Sure, I've had to rub out a couple of small scratches and touch up a couple others. No big deal, can't see any of it from the driver seat.

You see, I bought the car to drive on a daily basis just like all the other cars I've owned, so I expect it to accumulate a little wear and tear. Maybe I'd feel differently if it was into the car show scene.

Did the same thing with the square plastic piece behind the door handle, but used a nickle!
LOL that what I call throwing money at a problem to make it go away

Or putting a serious chunk of change into a car
